Microsoft is about to make a resounding move reminiscent of the technological changes it brought to the world with the release of Windows 95. The integration of document processing tools on the impressive digital platform made Windows 95 the world’s signature leading operating system and
redefined business production operations.

IT support specialists are now getting prepared not only for the introduction of Windows 8, but for the final – and long expected – package of Microsoft’s mobile platform, Windows on ARM. WOA moves Windows from the x86/64 PC platform to that specifically licensed by ARM, the UK chip designers, for low-power processors in smartphone and tablet mobile devices.

Mobile technology that had once been forestalled for Windows is now destined to make a powerful presence and possibly bring good and substantial changes into the computing world. They will be part of the move to integrate WOA devices into today’s business and consumer tech environments.

WOA is slated to be the Windows platform for tablets and smartphones. The specialists are undergoing training to ease users into the new touch-operated Metro user interface. ARM-based PCs are presently being assigned to developers for designing and testing apps. WOA will use only parts of Windows desktop, mainly the familiar file management tools provided by Windows Explorer.

WOA is expected to come out later this year on tablets at the same time when Windows 8 will be released. The Office suite will be issued as Office 15 and will be designed for seamless, individual operation on Windows 8 and WOA. IT support Los Angeles will be able to plan and design company specific apps that will also be routed through the Windows Store.

Tablets have already proven their enterprise use. Apps enable them to be used for retail display terminals, portable catalogs, point of sale terminals, and such tasks as on-the-go document processing. The ability of tablets, phones, laptops and PCs to see themselves across one platform would represent a major accomplishment for Microsoft. The success of WOA will depend in large part on developers and IT supportspecialists.
